Free Initial Consultation and Scoping Report for your software project
Your organisation may have reached a number of 'decisions crossroads'. What software solutions do we need to meet our business objectives? Do we need document, content or knowledge management, workflow or bespoke solutions? How do we make the business case? And what will it all cost?
External consultants can provide answers and help you choose the right direction. But that usually involves cost, even for an initial consultation.
At Symbiosys Business Solutions, we’re changing all that. We're offering a Free Initial Consultation and Scoping Report to organisations involved in evaluating software projects. We believe that by providing initial no-cost consultancy on areas from making a business case to outlining project deliverables, we can save you time, resources and costs. You can then make a no-obligation decision on investing in our expert consultancy to help you through the subsequent stages of the project.
How we work
We take a carefully planned, staged approach to our consulting. Working with you, not just for you, we seek to analyse and understand your business challenges. With any IT project, large or small, it’s about exploring opportunities. What can we achieve? How far can we go? What are the risks? What will be the impact? Who will be affected? What will be the benefits?
The consultation process involves two days work (typically 1 day onsite and 1 day offsite) and will be tailored to meet the relevant needs of your project. The Free Initial Consultation includes:
- Identify the subject matter of the project and give any relevant background information
- Define the success criteria of the project, including:
- Identify the main objectives
- Outline the scope of the project and any exclusions
- Outline project deliverables and/or desired outcomes
- Identify interfaces – i.e. how two independent systems integrate
- Identify constraints – i.e. anything that prevents the project from achieving its goals, such as policy, limitations of equipment or processes
- Identify the key stakeholders (business and supplier)
- Outline the business case
- Describe how the project supports business strategy or plans
- Explain why the project is needed
- Assess the key risks of the project
- Provide an outline cost
- Provide a realistic timescale
- Define an acceptance criteria
